Releasing Results to Your Applicant & Employees
Whatever the circumstances, have a convenient and simple procedure in place for releasing results to your applicants and employees.
When giving results to employees or applicants, they must receive a copy if employment is being refused based on whole or in part of a background check. The results must include the pre-adverse action letter and a summary of the employee’s rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. If a job applicant has been hired, an employer is not forced into giving results to employees, but may do so should an employee request them. The employer can simply print the results or make copies to provide to their employees. As a courtesy to clients, employers may direct their employees to Backgrounds Online to request a copy of the results. With proper identification, Backgrounds Online has no problem giving results to employees and does so through the US Postal Service for confidentiality purposes. We only ask that the applicant makes the request in writing and provide proper identification.
Backgrounds Online can provide results to applicants on your behalf free of charge.
