Backgrounds Online typically completes background checks in 3-5 business days, but they can take longer due to issues beyond our control. Unfortunately, county courts in various locations have long turnaround times due to closures and other complications.

What Backgrounds Online Is Doing

We’re working hard to complete background checks quickly so our clients get the information they need to make informed decisions. We are:

• Partnering with independent researchers who go directly to courthouses to request records.
• Accessing databases that provide accurate, reliable statewide information.
• Keeping up with ongoing delays so we can inform you if an order will take longer than usual.
• Cooperating with the Professional Background Screening Association and other organizations to remediate these situations.
• Asking clients to submit orders as early as possible.
