Governor Pete Ricketts approved Legislative Bill 217 which:
These protections do not apply to employees who have access to classified compensation information and discuss that information with other employees who are not allowed such access.
Nebraska passed Legislative Bill 907 which declares that public sector employees cannot ask questions about criminal history on job applications. Employers may inquire about an applicant’s criminal history after determining that the person is qualified for the position.
